I'm posting our exchanges below, demonstrating DHgate.com's don't want to regulate its market and to promote counterfeit items. The refusal to provide a refund is a testament to this.

DHGATE.COM: WARNING COUNTERFEIT PRODUCT AND SELLER REFUSES TO REFUND

On April 19, 2024, we buy a Cover Protective for Headphone. Insted of we received counterfeit Apple AirPods hidden in a fake box. These dont correspond what we purchased. SEE UNBOXING VIDEO.
The law say art L217-3 to 14 of the French Consumer Code: "The seller deliver goods that conform to the order. If lack of conformity, the consumer has the right to receive a refund." Also, art L716-9 of the Intellectual Property Act says that: "Counterfeiting is punishable by 4 years of imprisonment and a fine of € 400000".
So we formally request you to refund us, within 7 days, the full price of €23.87.
THE ITEM CANNOT BE RETURNED BECAUSE IT’S A COUNTERFEIT ITEM. IF YOU WANT TO GET IT, PROVIDE FIRST A PREPAID LABEL VOUCHER.
IF YOU REFUSE TO REFUND €23.87 IN 7 DAYS FROM THIS FORMAL NOTICE, WE WILL REFER TO THE COMPETENT COURT AGAINST DHGATE.COM WITH THE LAW (ART. L217 AND ART L716-9) TO OBTAIN FULL REFUND AND YOUR CONVICTION TO A FINE OF €400,000. WE HAVE ALSO JUST REPORTED YOUR CASE TO SEVERAL CONSUMER PROTECTION ASSOCIATIONS WHO HAVE JUST TAKEN EUROPEAN CUSTOMS DIRECTORATE, AND DGCCRF, TO BAN DHGATE & THE SELLER FROM ONLINE TRADE IN EUROPE.
